13.0 Arrive at Cherbourg & depart Ferry terminal1
14.0 Visit St. Mere Eglise, site of 82nd & 101st U.S. Airborne landings
&
Superb U.S Airborne museum
Visit Utah Beach & Museum
18.0 Depart for Bayeux & Hotel

Day 3, Friday
9th June
08.30 Breakfast
09.30 Presentation and briefing by resident guide Lt.Col.Ml.Chilcott.
10.00 Depart for German cemetery at La Cambe. Then to Ponte du Hoc, Omaha
Beach, the U.S. cemetery at Colleville (as per ‘Saving Private Ryan’),
Port en Bessen, Longues sur Mer (site of the only remaining German gun emplacements),
Arromanche, Gold & Juno Beaches, finishing at Courselles sur Mer.
18.30 Return to Hotel
19.30 Dinner
Day 4, Saturday 10th June
08.30 Breakfast
10.00 Briefing by resident tour guide Lt. Col. Ml. Chilcott
10.15 Depart by coach for 1) Visit British cemetery in Bayeux
2) Merville Battery
3) British Cemetery at Ranville (RUR) and RUR
Memorials at La Cambe Wood and Longueval
4) Pegasus Bridge
5) Atlantic Wall Museum, Ouistreham (Sword
Beach)
6) Visit to Hillman location.
18.30 Return to Hotel
19.30 Dinner
Day 5, Sunday 11th June
08.30 Breakfast
09.30 Tour of Bayeux, visit the Tapestry, the Cathedral, the Second World
War museum.
In the afternoon we
will have left time available to revisit any of the locations which our
tour group feels they would like to see again. This will be decided on Saturday
night in consultation with everyone
following dinner.
19.30 Dinner
Day 6, Monday 12th June
08.30 Breakfast.
Remainder of day to be spent as a rest day, our experience in the past has
shown that at this stage everybody is tired after the continuous activity
of the previous 4 days.
The time can be spent very pleasantly shopping and generally enjoying the
beauty of Bayeux.

Day 7 Tuesday 13th June
08.30 Breakfast
10.0 Depart Bayeux for Falaise, birthplace of William the Conquerer and
a town which saw the final vital phase of the successful Battle for Normandy.We
will visit the magnificently restored castle in the town centre.
13.0 Depart Falaise for Paris via Lisieux.
15.0 Arrive Paris, check into hotel and relax for remainder of day.
20.00 Dinner.
.Day 8 Wednesday 14th June
08.30 Breakfast.
The Paris itinerary will include visits to such as Les Invalides to view
The Army Museum and the tomb of Napoleon. Musee D’Orsay, Place
De la Concorde, The Arc de Triomphe, The Champs-Elysees and The
Eiffel Tower.
Those who wish may go off independently to shop or see other
locations of interest such as Le Louvre or Sacre-Coeure.
20.0 Dinner.
Day 9 Thursday 15th June
08.30 Breakfast
12.0 Depart Paris for Pontorson.
15.0 Arrive Pontorson check into hotel and visit Le Mont Saint –Michel.
This is one of the most stunning sights in the whole of Western Europe,
an ancient site of pilgrimage. It is guaranteed to leave a lasting impression
on all who visit.
We will cross to the mount on the causeway and visit the town and the monastery.
20.00 Dinner.
Day 10 Friday 16th June
09.0 Breakfast.
10.0 Depart Pontorson for Roscoff with a last look at Le Mont Saint-Michel
in the morning mist.
13.30 Break journey at St.Malo for lunch and a look at a very interesting
and
seaport which is surrounded by defensive walls.
15.0 Depart St.Malo.
17.0 Arrive Roscoff and prepare to board ferry.
19.0 Depart Roscoff on ferry.
Day 11 Saturday 17th June
13.0 Arrive Rosslare.
15.30 Arrive Dublin
17.0 Arrive Dundalk
