Tours & Excursions
We will visit the Battlefields, the Cemeteries and the Museums associated with each battle. This tour is guided by Colonel Dick Heaslip, the Irish authority on the Irish soldier in World War I. It is designed to facilitate those who wish to study the battles, the Irish involvement, to remember the fallen and to visit the graves and memorials, especially of relatives. Joe Walsh Tours Military & Heritage Tours cater for both the ‘first timers’ and experts. If you have a particular grave or memorial you wish to visit please inform us in advance and we will do our best to facilitate you and to allow you to lay a personal wreath. If there is an individual soldier and you want to know where he fought please tell us in advance.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Fly Dublin - Istanbul and overnight in Istanbul.

Day 2 Transfer by coach to Eceabat on the Dardanelles. Check-in to the hotel and then visit the Kilitbahir Castle and Forts at the Narrows to study the Naval Operation.

Day 3 Cape Helles Sector, Visit Kilitbahir, Turkish Cemetery, S Beach & Turkish Memorial, French Cemetery & Memorial, V Beach (Landing of the Dublins and Munsters) & Helles Memorial, W & X Beaches, Gully Ravine & Achi Baba (the Objective).

Day 4 Anzac & Suvla Sector, Kilye Cove, Brighton Beach, Anzac Cove, North Beach, Kabatepe Plugges Plateau, Lone Pine Australian Memorial, Johnston’s Jolly, Courtney & Steeles, German Officers, Quinns Post, Walkers Ridge & The Nek, Baby 700, Chunuk Bair & Hill 971, Rhododendron Spur.

Day 5 Suvla Sector. Fishermans Hut, Lala Baba, Nibrunesi Point, Hill 10, Suvla Point, Kirec Tepe, Chocolate and Green Hill, Scimitar Hill, Anafarta guns, Buyuk Anafarta and Bigali Village

Day 6 Early Check and coach to Istanbul. Visit the Hippodrome, Haghia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace. Check in the Orka Royal Hotel & Dinner at the Flower passage.

Day 7 Transfer to the Airport for return flight
