It is gratifying to see the number of educational establishments that have now realised what a superb resource Military Heritage Tours is. The number of 2nd level and 3rd level establishments that have been in contact with us is a very welcome trend.
We will continue to run our scheduled home and overseas tours this year. This year's overseas programmes will include Gallipoli, WW1 Europe and WW2 Europe.
There have been some enquiries about a tour to Auschwitz. To this end we are preparing a programme that like all of our tours, will be handled with sensitivity and that will not be a 'tourist' type tour.It will be probably a four day tour commencing with a tour of Krakow and the Jewish quarter. One day will be spent in Auschwitz and Birkenau and the final day will include a visit to the famous salt mine which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Remember, if you want to visit a site that is not on the list just ask us and we may be able to help you, especially of you are a group.
If your organisation or school would like to receive a talk on Irish Remembrance or on our concept of Battlefield Tours please contact us.
